Smiling!!!

We finally managed to capture some smiles!

Jackson gets more alert every day! These photos were taken in the middle of week 6. He has continued to gain weight and as of the end of his 6th week he weighs 13 pounds! He is starting to smile and coo.

Chillin'

So, 6 week olds don't really do that much. As adorable as he is, Jackson mostly confines his activities to nursing, sleeping, going to the bathroom, and occasionally smiling or cooing. Sometimes we have to get creative to pass the day. A pair of baby sunglasses from Target did the trick of amusing us for a while.

It was a beautiful April afternoon, and Jackson was feeling fussy, so we took him out in the backyard and he loved the breeze and the fresh air. He just looked around at everything.

I really think Jackson looks like his mom in these photos. I need to check my baby pictures, but I think these look alot like me as a baby, except he is alot bigger than I was.

Fun at Home

This week we have had alot of firsts. First time on the playmat. First time hanging out in the backyard. Even a first bottle of pumped milk given by Dad tonight as a "test run" to see if I can sneak off Thursday night for a work happy hour. The bottle feeding went well! I cried - it was such a big step and it just seemed like he was growing up so fast! Jackson will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. Below are some pictures of our week of firsts.
